ONYX / EVALUATION METHOD
A line crossing a recent high or low does not tell you whether an Expert Advisor fits your requirements. Examine the full path from a known level to the actual exit — including costs, broker rules and losses.
Examine the four stages01 / TRADE PATH
This is an evaluation framework, not a real trade record or an ONYX test result.
Record the reference timeframe, the closed bars used to establish the level and the moment the level became available. A later chart view can hide what was known when an order was placed.
Check order type, proposed entry, distance from the level, volume, expiry and the initial stop and target. A pending order is not a filled trade.
Inspect the actual fill or cancellation, spread, commission, slippage, symbol specifications and available margin. Conditions can change between placement and execution.
Trace each stop modification, any trailing rule and the eventual exit. Compare the initial planned risk with the realised result, including losing trades and inactive periods.
02 / TEST CONDITIONS
Product version, broker and symbol, test dates, modelling mode, deposit, input settings and available historical data.
Spread, commission, swaps, slippage, minimum stop distances and permitted volume. A fixed lot does not mean fixed cash risk.
Drawdown, losing streaks, stop changes, inactive periods and journal errors. Do not tune settings merely to improve one headline number.
03 / ONYX BREAKOUT GOLD
The published ONYX BREAKOUT GOLD listing describes two configurable swing-level breakout modules, pending orders, ATR-based stop and target distances, and trailing management. This is one Expert Advisor, not a bundle. Read its operating limits and requirements before testing.
The MQL5 Market demo runs in the MT5 Strategy Tester, not on a regular account chart. Test it using the data and conditions relevant to your own research.
Trading involves risk of loss. A historical test shows behaviour on selected data, not a guarantee of future results. ONYX does not promise profits.
